Driving
Getting to Mexicali is easy, if you drive from the United States all you have to do is take Interstate 8 West or East (depending if you are coming from the coast of from Arizona), then exit on 111 South, which is less than 15 minutes from Calexico and the border with Mexicali. If you are coming from the North, Highway 111 passes through Palm Springs and also intersects at Indio, CA with I-10.
You can even park your car in Calexico and just walk to Mexicali.
By Air
Mexicali airport hosts only commercial domestic flights, in case you are traveling from within México.
Bus
You can arrive to Mexicali’s bus terminal from all over Baja and from other cities in the country. Also you can take a bus in the US to Calexico and just walk through the border. |
